Police Issue Summonses In Bethel For DUI, Suspended License And Family Dispute
Bethel police responded to incidents involving DUI, a family fight and suspended license violations in recent weeks.
BETHEL, CT — Police in Bethel issued summonses in connection with separate incidents including shoplifting, a family disturbance, driving under the influence, and operating a vehicle with a suspended license.
Bethel Woman Accused of Shoplifting at Target Store on Stony Hill Road
A Bethel woman was issued a misdemeanor summons following a shoplifting incident at the Target store on Stony Hill Road, according to local police.

Officers responded to the store on May 12 after Target loss prevention personnel reported a person in custody for suspected theft.
Police said Ashleigh C. Dewar, 28, of Stony Hill Road, was interviewed at the scene and acknowledged taking an item without paying, stating it was unintentional.

Store officials told officers Dewar had previously been involved in similar incidents. She was issued a summons on a charge of sixth-degree larceny.
Police Respond to Family Disturbance on Linda Lane, Four Summonses Issued
Bethel police issued multiple misdemeanor summonses following a large family disturbance on Linda Lane the evening of May 17.
Officers were dispatched to a residence at 4 Linda Lane at approximately 7:28 p.m. for a report of an active dispute involving a group of people. Upon arrival, police encountered more than a dozen individuals gathered in the front yard.
With the assistance of a Spanish-speaking officer, police determined that several physical altercations had occurred among family members.
Maicol Morocho, 22, and Luis Moreira Bombon, 26, of Linda Lane, were each issued a summons for disorderly conduct. Two additional family members also received misdemeanor summonses in connection with the incident.
All were released on promises to appear in Danbury Superior Court on June 19.
Bethel Man Faces Third DUI Charge After March Incident
A Bethel resident is facing multiple charges, including a third offense of driving under the influence, stemming from an incident that occurred in early March.
Wade A. Stanley, 53, of Plumtrees Road, appeared at the Bethel Police Department on May 22 to respond to an active warrant related to the March 5 incident.
Following an investigation, police determined Stanley had been operating a vehicle with an elevated blood alcohol content. He was cited under Connecticut General Statute 14-227a for illegal operation of a motor vehicle under the influence and for failure to keep right on a curve.
Stanley was processed and released on a $10,000 court-set bond, posting 7 percent in cash. He was scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on June 3.
Danbury Woman Cited for Driving With Suspended License in Bethel
A Danbury woman was cited for multiple motor vehicle violations after a traffic stop on June 11, according to Bethel police.
Lucy Gonzalez-Peralta, 32, of Ellsworth Avenue, was stopped near the intersection of Fleetwood Avenue and Lindbergh Street around 3:40 p.m.
During the stop, officers determined that Gonzalez-Peralta’s driver’s license had been suspended since Nov. 28, 2024. She was issued a misdemeanor summons for operating a motor vehicle under suspension and failure to obey a stop sign.
She was released at the scene on a promise to appear in Danbury Superior Court on June 23.
