Raymond L. Wells, 77, Passed Away at Bethel Nursing Home

Bethel resident Raymond Wells was an optical tech at S.V.G. Lithography until his retirement.

BETHEL, CT — Raymond L. Wells, devoted husband of the late Edith Wells, passed away Sunday, September 18th, 2016 at Bethel Nursing Home after a valiant battle with cancer. Raymond was born September 4th, 1939 to the late Clayton and Margaret Wells.

Raymond graduated from Danbury High School in 1957, and was an optical tech at S.V.G. Lithography until retirement. One of Raymond’s greatest passions was reading, and he always enjoyed going out to eat with his family. He is survived by his brother Richard Wells of Albuquerque, New Mexico and sister Marjorie Woodin of Danbury, Connecticut, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Raymond’s beloved wife, Edith Wells, passed away on November 30th, 2015. In addition to his parents, he is also predeceased by his brothers Henry, Herbert, Clifford, Donald and Stanley Arnold (Infant) as well as his sisters Margaret Booth and Eleanor Hills.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, September 22nd, 2016 at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South St, Danbury CT) from 9 to 11 a.m., with a service beginning at 11 a.m. Contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital or Bethel Visiting Nurses.
