Residents Raising Funds for Bethel Fire Victims
Nine families and several businesses were displaced due to a fire early THursday morning.

BETHEL, CT — Residents are rallying to support the victims of the tragic Greenwood Avenue fire that left nine families and several local businesses displaced early Thursday morning. Two gofundme pages have been started in support of the victims as a whole, and in support of the Giggling Pig Art and Party studio.
"Hannah and The Giggling Pig, had just opened their Bethel Studio a few months ago and had been offering classes and summer camp in this beautiful space," read the page supporting the Giggling Pig art studio. "This morning the space is filled with water and smoke and everything but The Giggling Pig's outdoor sign has been destroyed."
The building includes six apartments and two businesses and is located across from the library on Greenwood Avenue. According to the American Red Cross, nine families including 11 adults and five children were displaced.
