Samaritan Health Center Announces Open Houses
Open houses are scheduled for Tuesday, May 3 and Saturday, May 7.

From Samaritan Health Center:
Samaritan Health Center, which provides free health care to children with little or no insurance, has been called one of Danbury’s “greatest treasures,” but like some treasures, it remains hidden to many people. An open house is being planned as a way to shine a light on all that is being done through this ministry (part of the Jericho Partnership) and introduce more to the life-saving work being done there.
It will take place on Tuesday, May 3, 5-8 p.m., and Saturday, May 7, 1-5 p.m. The event will feature guided tours, an opportunity to speak with Samaritan’s and Jericho Partnership’s staff, volunteers and board members, games and activities for the kids (Saturday only) and food donated by Chick-fil-A and Billy’s BBQ.

“We’re excited to introduce the clinic and all that goes on here to members of our community,” said Dr. Don Sampson, the health center’s clinical director. “Even after eight years of ministry in the center of Danbury, we know that many people don’t even know we exist and that we’ve served more than 3,000 children who, otherwise, would not have received the health care they needed. Many probably have no idea how they can help us serve even more children in need.”

Samaritan Health Center is also promoting fellow Jericho ministry Athletes of Christ’s upcoming “A Run in the Park” Walk-Run on Saturday, May 21 as a way of raising funds for Samaritan. Through its Kids4Kids initiative, the clinic is inviting families, school groups and youth groups to run in this event to benefit Samaritan Health Center. Samaritan will pay its runners’ registration fees to Athletes of Christ; all SHC runners need to do is obtain sponsors for their run! This is the beauty of partner supporting partner through their shared covenant with Jericho.
