Sen. Murphy Aide Meets with Bethel Residents

Megan Forgione, a caseworker from Sen. Chris Murphy's office, met with Bethel residents in Town Hall Wednesday morning as part of rotating office hours.

In her first hour in Bethel, Forgione worked with a local veteran on issues with Veteran Affairs benefits and Social Security and helped another constituent with immigration concerns.

Forgione said one of the office's five caseworkers is out in the field each week, hitting at least two towns. (From Bethel, Forgione was headed for New Fairfield.)

A resident, given his opportunity to speak, said he voted for Murphy manly because of his stance on Afghanistan.

"I want him to vote 'no' on [intervening in] Syria," he said. Forgione listened and said she would pass the thoughts along.
