'Off the Streets' Furniture Donation Helps the Homeless
Bethel-based Off the Streets provides furniture and household goods to homeless people to help them transition into apartments.
BETHEL, CT — Off the Streets will be collecting furniture and housewares on Saturday, August 6, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. behind the Bethel United Methodist Church on Greenwood Avenue in Bethel.
Off the Streets works to get currently homeless people out of shelters and the streets into housing by providing household goods and support while they transition to a furnished room or apartment.
Off the Streets provides moral support and encouragement to help people believe that they can escape the trap of homelessness, and to help them retain their housing.They help with security deposits and other financial support as well as helping by giving them furniture and household items
