Author Talk at the Library: Novelist Mark Rubenstein will discuss his forensic psychiatry background and sign books, with proceeds going to the library. Starts 6:00 p.m. Monday.
One-Time Wednesday: Every week, Bethel Cinema offers an obscure, thought-provoking film on a one-time-only basis. This week it's Evocateur, the story of controversial talk-show host Morton Downey, Jr. Starts 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Jazz at Molten Java: The local cafe offers a weekly night of jazz, and local musicians are free to join in and show their stuff. Hosted by Michael Bank. Starts at 7 p.m.
Farmers' Market: The Bethel Community Marketplace and Farmer's Market is a great place to find local crafts and food to bring home. Runs 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday outside the Municipal Center.
'Seussical' in Newtown: This Broadway-level production at Newtown High School comes from the 12/14 Foundation. Opens August 9. See link for details.
