Town of Bethel Fires Town Employee After Ethics Complaint
The Ethics Commission determined the town employee was conducting business on behalf of the town with a company run and owned by his son.

BETHEL, CT — The Town of Bethel has fired Frank Ventrella after an ethics complaint was filed against him for the alleged purchase of office supplies from his son’s company, The News Times reports.
According to May 19th meeting minutes, the Ethics Commission decided that Mr. Ventrella violated §C9-3 of the Charter "by his own admission that he never advised the Board of Selectmen that he was conducting business on behalf of the Town with a company run and owned by his son, who lives at the same address as Mr. Ventrella."
