Train 'Clipped' Car in Bethel: Report

Train service was suspended for several hours due to the incident

BETHEL, CT — A car trying to jump the train gates was "clipped" by a train, reports the News Times. Metro-North officials say a car attempted to drive around the gates in an attempt to beat the train, and that the driver sped off from the scene.

No injuries or damage was reported to the train, which had only about five passengers on board at the time. The incident occurred at the Taylor Avenue crossing.
