U.S. Marine Corps Veteran Kenneth Campbell Burgess, Sr. 77, of Bethel, Passed Away

BETHEL, CT — Kenneth Campbell Burgess, Sr. age 77, of Bethel, CT passed away Sunday August 7, 2016 at Danbury Hospital. He was the loving husband of Patricia (Murphy) Burgess. Kenneth was born May 10, 1939 in Saltville VA, was a graduate of George Washington University with a degree in accounting and served in the US Marine Corps from 1957 to 1961. Kenneth was employed as an accountant at IBM for 30 years. While his greatest joy was his children and grandchildren, throughout his life he had a great appreciation for nature.

In addition to his wife of 53 years, Kenneth is survived by two sons: Kenneth “Casey” Burgess, Jr. and his wife MariaAnna of Port Chester, NY and Michael Burgess of Bethel, CT; a daughter Kathleen Burgess of Bethel, CT; four grandchildren: Mary, Jack, Sydney and Madison as well as many family members. He is predeceased by a brother: Andy Burgess.

The family will receive friends in the Hull Funeral Home 60 Division St., Danbury, on Thursday August 11, 2016 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made to Parkinson’s Association or D.A.W.S. of Bethel.
