Waldo Found, Bethel Businesses Benefit

It took a month, but Bethel kids have found Waldo.

To close the month-long, townwide game that brought kids to various Bethel establishments in search of the elusive character, Waldo celebrated alongside town and business leaders and a ton of excited kids.

"It's been a wonderful time," said Byrd's Books owner Alice Hutchinson. "We probably had 40 Waldo hunters here."

And the promotion has been great for Bethel business, says First Selectman Matt Knickerbocker, on hand to help Waldo announce winners.

"The whole business community and chamber have worked really well together," he said. "This is an example of everybody pulling together."
