How did you come up with name?
When we spent hours deciding on a name, we looked to how people communicate. They text, type and generally use their fingers. Well, Talking Fingers, our original thought was changed to Talking Finger. Why? Upon doing our market research, people told us it sounds like the name of a massage parlor.
What business are you In?
Advertising and marketing, with a specialization in digital media, especially Social Media. In fact, we are the original social media marketing agency in Connecticut.
Why start a business in this town?
Woodbridge is fantastic! Located perfectly off the parkway, it is easy to get to. The town is beautiful, the people are wonderful and the business community really supports one another.
What is the most difficult moment or challenge you’ve faced as a business owner?
Controlling growth. It’s easy to say you want your business to grow fast, and get to the next level. However, without proper planning things can get out of control rapidly. DO you have enough available man hours to take on a new project? How do you keep the cash flow steady during growth? These are the challenges that we had to face.
What has been your favorite moment or proudest achievement since opening?
We have won several awards, both locally and nationally. I believe the proudest achievement, however is being able to hire staff as we grew, and provide jobs. I am a huge believer in small businesses being the backbone of America.
How does your business give back to the community?
We provide funding for several charities. So far this year, we have donated time and resources to Boys and Girls Club, Monroe Plunge, and continually give away Sound Tiger tickets to poorer families all expose paid. We donate time to Woodbridge town to help with their social media and outreach as well. We attend most functions in town as well.
