Driver Hospitalized After Crash In Woodbridge: Police
Part of a major road was closed for several hours in Woodbridge, according to police.

(Original post) WOODBRIDGE, CT — A crash has closed part of Route 63 (Amity Road) in Woodbridge, according to police.
Woodbridge police responded around 1:55 p.m. on July 16 to a report of a crash on Amity Road, according to Deputy Police Chief Ronald Smith.

Smith said a preliminary investigation found that a motor vehicle left the road and struck a utility pole.
The driver was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital for evaluation of injuries that Smith said were minor.

Smith said Amity Road will be closed for several hours between Fairground Road and Burnt Swamp Road.
Police are advising motorists to use alternate routes.
