Driver Identified In Fatal Crash In Woodbridge: Police

WOODBRIDGE, CT — Rufus Smith, 39, of New Haven, has been identified as the driver who was killed in a crash on Route 69 in Woodbridge on New Year’s Eve, according to police.

The crash happened around 10 p.m. while Smith was driving a 2001 Lexus sedan southbound on Route 69 near the intersection of Clark Road and crossed over into the northbound lane and struck a utility pole, according to police.
