New Haven Nonprofit Takes the Stage for Season Two this Summer!

SOUND & Stage is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) musical theater organization that prides themselves on creating original musicals for teens and adults. They recently announced their summer show, “Hopelessly Devoted,” which will be previewing in Woodbridge, CT on August 2nd.
Whether you’re made for the stage, operate best backstage, or simply love the arts, SOUND & Stage is seeking cast, crew, and sponsors to support their 2024 season. They provide mentoring, workshops, a full stage show, and as many paid opportunities as possible for specialists in theater arts fields.
“It’s our mission to foster creativity, ignite passion, and make a meaningful impact through the arts. If you're passionate about social change, captivated by the magic of theater, or simply seeking connection with fellow art enthusiasts,” said Carol Taubl, founder of SOUND, “there's something for everyone here.”

Auditions for their summer show will be held on May 31st from 5:30-9pm and June 1st from 1:30pm-4:30pm at 33 Center Road, Woodbridge, CT. “Hopelessly Devoted,” written by Dawn Taubl, is a modern-day, heart-felt comedy that takes place at Fairview High School, in San Diego. It contains all original songs, composed by Carol Taubl, inspired by music of the seventies. The show is a tribute to teachers striving to educate and support students, while also balancing the demands of their own lives and families. Auditions are open to actors, ages 13 and older.
