George established a successful consulting business which focused on developing and implementing creative energy solutions for clients. He also served as an Energy Task Force member for the Town of Bethany and City of Milford.

Later in George’s life, he enjoyed a rewarding career as a high school science teacher. He taught physics, chemistry, and physical science. He also formed various science clubs to engage students in learning beyond the classroom.

George had a strong desire for mentoring young people towards achieving their dreams in life. George was loved by family, friends, students, and strangers alike. Whether George knew someone for 10 years or for only 10 minutes, he always did his best to be of service and to lend a hand. Lending a hand could entail anything from helping with a remodeling project to finding a way to help a young father he had just met replace a stolen bicycle for his son.

He always offered just the right words to brighten your day and cause you to feel acknowledged and loved unconditionally. He would tell you not to mourn his passing, but to smile to yourself instead as you remember him with gratitude for something he once said that elevated your spirit for the day or changed the trajectory of your life for the better.

George is survived by his wife Maria of 29 years, his son Jeff and spouse Katie, his daughter Amy and spouse Cory, his son Joey, his grandchildren, Grace, Peyton, Claire, Nora, and Oscar, his sister Ann, and his dog Teddy.

Memorial services will be held at Washington Congregational Church in Washington, NH, at a later date.

In lieu of flowers or donations, it would be the greatest honor to him if you would keep a promise to yourself to always generously share your smile and gifts with others.
