Obituary: Peter J. Martin, 84, of Woodbridge
Peter, always proud of his Irish heritage, served the N.H.F.D. for over 30 years, retiring as a decorated lieutenant.
WOODBRIDGE, CT - (From Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home) Peter J. Martin, 84, of Woodbridge, passed away March 26th after a lengthy illness. Born Dec. 28, 1937, son of the late Robert & Inez Martin, Peter proudly served the N.H.F.D. for over 30 years, receiving many commendations during his career & retired as a lieutenant.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patricia (Ogilvie) Martin. Daughters; Lauren Kiely (Kevin) and Leigh Farnsworth (John), son Sean Martin, daughter in law Kate Martin. Grandchildren; Kelsey, Allison & Kaitlin Kiely, Jack & Finn Farnsworth, and Declan Martin.
He was predeceased by a son Robert. Peter was proud of his Irish heritage & his Catholic faith. He was an avid Red Sox & New England Patriots fan.
There will be no calling hours.
Friends are invited to go directly to Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Center Rd. Woodbridge WED. at 11 A.M. for a Mass of Christian burial. Interment in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
