Teen, 14, Stole Vehicle In Woodbridge: Police
A 14-year-old has been arrested in connection with the theft of a vehicle in Woodbridge, according to police.
WOODBRIDGE, CT — A 14-year-old New Haven resident was arrested Monday in connection with the theft of a motor vehicle in Woodbridge earlier this month, according to police.
Police said a vehicle was stolen from a resident’s driveway on July 13 and was later recovered after being abandoned near the home.
Officers obtained security camera footage of the incident and were able to identify the teen based on their “past police encounters” with the juvenile, according to police.

“Based on the investigation a juvenile arrest warrant was submitted to New Haven Juvenile Court and the warrant was granted with conditions from the presiding judge that the juvenile be taken into custody and turned over to the Department of Corrections upon being located,” police wrote in a news release.
The juvenile was charged with larceny of a motor vehicle, and was turned over to the Department of Corrections at Bridgeport Juvenile Detention Center, and is awaiting a court date in New Haven Juvenile Court for their arraignment, according to police.
