WEATHER UPDATE: Woodbridge's and Bethany's Hour-by-Hour Monday Forecast

What's forecast and when on Monday and overnight in Bethany and Woodbridge.

The National Weather Service has issued a “Winter Weather Advisory” in effect until 6 a.m., Tuesday for snow and ice which is expected to fall for most of the day.

The weather service is predicting 1 to 3 inches of snow and a tenth of an inch of ice accumulating by late tonight in parts of southern Connecticut and the lower Hudson Valley.

About 1 to 3 inches of snow and about a tenth of an inch of ice is expected for Woodbridge all day, according to the weather service’s 9:52 a.m. update of its Woodbridge-specific forecast. Between 2 and 4 inches of snow is possible for Bethany, according to the service’s Bethany-specific forecast.

The weather service states that travel will be “hazardous” due to snow and ice accumulation along with reduced visibilities.

  • 11 a.m. — cloudy
  • Noon to 3 p.m. — snow
  • 4 p.m. — light snow
  • 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. — snow showers
  • 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. — few snow showers
  • 11 p.m., Monday to 6 a.m., Tuesday — cloudy
