Woodbridge 2023 Election Voter Guide: Candidates, Polling Places

WOODBRIDGE, CT — On Nov. 7, Woodbridge residents cast their votes for several key municipal positions. Contested races include: the town council and school board.

Polls in Connecticut are open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day. You can use the Secretary of State’s website to find your polling place. Voters who are in line by 8 p.m. will be allowed to vote.

Connecticut also allows for Election Day registration at designated centers in each town. People must be registered by 8 p.m. in order to vote using Election Day registration. To receive your absentee ballot, complete and sign an application and return it to your Town Clerk, or you can request an absentee ballot online.

The Democratic candidate is Mica Cardozo and the Republican candidate is Marty Halprin.

Board of Selectmen

The Democratic candidates are Steve Munno, Sheila McCreven, and Maria Madonick and Republican candidates include: Andrea Urbano, David Vogel, and Javier Aviles.

Board of Education

The Democratic candidates are Erin Williamson and Steven Lawrence and the Republican candidates are Lynn Piascyk and Jeff Hughes.

Board of Assessment Appeals

The Democratic candidate is Jeffrey Ginzberg and the Republican candidate is Annita L. Ingraham.

Zoning Board of Appeals

The Democratic candidates are Shawn Flynn and Kalman Watsky and the Republican candidates are Clifford Lynch Jr. and Cynthia Gibbons.

Zoning Board of Appeals Alternate

The Democratic candidate is Lauren Francese and the Republican candidates are Jaime Nichol and Christopher Dickerson.

Regional Board of Education

The Democratic candidates are Patrick Reed and Sudir Karunakaran and the Republican candidates are Bruce A. Marien and Daniel Del Prete.
