Branford Boy Home After Hospitalizations; Fire Dept. Greets Him

Branford Fire Department Escorts boy back to Branford after he was away for months battling numerous health-related problems.

BRANFORD, CT - The Branford Fire Department was part of the huge welcoming committee for a 6-year-old Branford boy who was welcomed back home Wednesday after a long hospital ordeal.

Chaz DiLeonardo has been away from home since he went to a hospital in Philadelphia for a lung procedure to assist with his life-long heart condition.

Some complications happened after the surgery and he had a major stroke.

He was transferred to a children's rehab hospital in Boston in January, where he has been since his return to Branford today.
