Branford Man Charged With Operating Drug Factory: Police
Watertown police say they seized marijuana, scales, packaging materials and cash during a traffic stop.

WATERTOWN, CT — A Branford man faces multiple drug-related charges after a traffic stop in Watertown on Wednesday night.
Cody Mallard, 31, of 1204 Main St., Branford, was charged with operating a drug factory, sale and possession of a controlled substance, and violation of a protective order.
Watertown police said they pulled Mallard’s vehicle over in the area of Sylvan Lake Road and Falls Avenue Wednesday around midnight.

Police seized approximately nine pounds of marijuana packaged in vacuum sealed bags, airtight containers and plastic bags. Police also seized scales, a large box of packaging materials and $2,136 cash, police said.
Mallard is next due to appear in Superior Court in Waterbury on March 26.
