Patch and T-Mobile are partnering to shine a light on awesome moms in the Branford area. Meet Alana Abbott!

BRANFORD, CT— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.
This submission comes from David & Mercia Foster who nominated Alana Abbott of Branford.
What makes your Mom extra special?
Alana is a Girl Scout leader that helps girls learn their strengths. She volunteers at Sliney School with Scholastic book fair and the PTA, and teaches Sunday School at her church of choice. She's a mother to two wonderful kids at Walsh Middle School and Sliney Elementary.

Because she is an amazing woman who participates in charity 5k's and works at home in the publishing field while taking care of her family.
