Patch and T-Mobile are partnering to shine a light on awesome moms in the Branford area. Meet Laura Nuzzello of Branford!

BRANFORD, CT— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.
This submission comes from Danni Dunlop, who nominated Laura Nuzzello of Branford.
What makes your Mom extra special?
Hi!
My mom’s name is Laura Nuzzello. She is a single mom who’s been there for me since day one. She is my rock and my best friend.
She is a school bus driver in town. She drives bus #2.
She is a mom to every kid she drives! She loves her students and cares for them like they are her own.
She started driving the bus when I was just in 1st grade; I am now 22.
She loves her job and most importantly, her students. She drives the same students from kindergarten to 8th grade. Her students hold a special place in her heart. She meets them when they are only 4 years old and says “see you later” when they are 14, headed off to high school. She sheds a tear every year as her 8th graders get off the bus for the last time. She watched them grow each year! Bus #2 is not just your ordinary bus. They are a family!
Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?
If you know my mom, you are one lucky person. She is the strongest, most selfless person I know. She is an inspiration to me and her students. I hope that one day I can be half as wonderful as she is!
Happy Mother's Day to Laura Nuzzello, and thank you for all you do!
