Branford Mom, PTA President 'Is The Hardest Working Person I Know'

BRANFORD, CT— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

This submission comes from Kenzie Medina who nominated Ashley Murphy of Branford.

What makes your Mom extra special?

My mom is the hardest working person I know. In addition to raising four kids, she also finds time to be the Sliney PTA president and on the Walsh PTA board. She takes interest in our interests and encourages us to strive to be better. She will put everyone before herself and works tirelessly to do what needs to be done on whatever she sets her mind to.

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?

I feel like my mom deserves the spotlight because she never gets the recognition that she deserves.
