Branford Police Announce Annual Special Olympics Crossfit Showdown
The Crossfit Showdown takes place Saturday, Nov. 5.

From Branford Police:
Officers from the Branford Police Department have teamed up with staff members of Shoreline Athletics to host the 2nd Annual Special Olympics Crossfit Competition. Branford officers and athletes from Crossfit Gyms across Connecticut will volunteer and/or compete in a team-style Crossfit workout, raising funds that will benefit Special Olympics Connecticut.
Spectators can enjoy watching this highly competitive fitness competition of extraordinary athletic teams and will also have the opportunity to support Special Olympics Connecticut by purchasing raffle tickets, tee-shirts, and food. Several Branford businesses are sponsoring the event and Shoreline Meats & Deli will donate the food. Any other businesses that wish to become a sponsor can contact Officer Josef Herten.
