Branford Police Log July 26th Through August 4th

BRANFORD, CT —Branford Police made several arrests this past week. All arrested are only charged at this time.

Arrested were:

Peter F. Maltese, 40, of 92 Arch Street, Hamden, charged July 26 with operating motor vehicle with handheld telephone/electronic device/text.

Jack Patrick Duffy, 21, of 49 Cider Mill Road, Stamford, charged July 27th with illegally operating under influence alcohol/drugs.

John McKenna, 65, of 79 Cedar Street, Branford, charged July 28th with creating a public disturbance.

Louise D. Jones, 67, of 229 Austin Ryer Lane, Branford, charged July 28th with misuse of emergency 911-false alarm.

Leonardo Cantres, 46, homeless, charged July 28th with criminal trespass 2nd degree, negligent pedestrian.

Frank Acompora, 55, of 144 Burban Drive, Branford, charged July 28th with creating a public disturbance.

Richard Thomas Smith, 34, of 541 Eastern Street, New Haven, charged August 1st with larceny in 6th degree.

Joaquim Silva, 28, of 610 Elm Street, Wallingford, charged August 2nd with burglary 3rd degree, criminal mischief 2nd degree, larceny 6th degree.

Matthew M. Martino, 47, of 15 Beecher Place, New Haven, charged August 1st with violation home improvement contract request, larceny in 3rd degree.

Travis James Martin, 37, of 636 Main Street, Branford, charged Ausut 1st with disorderly conduct.

Jona Huard, 47, of 51 Congress Street, Hartford, charged August 2nd with failure to appear 2nd degree, criminal attempt/larceny 3rd degree, identity theft 2nd degree, criminal impersonation, forgery 3rd degree.

Fausto Zhicay, 41, of 50 Maple Street, Branford, charged August 3rd with failure to secure child under 4.

Michael Singleton, 46, of 427 Connecticut Avenue, Bridgeport, charged August 3rd with criminal trespass 1st degree, violation standing criminal protective order.

Bernard Mochan, 47, of 114 Fresh Meadow Road, Branford, charged August 4th with disorderly conduct, strangulatio/suffocate-3rd degree.
