The town of Branford is currently looking to hire a truck driver/laborer for their Public Works department.
Here are some details on the job:
Salary Range: $21.99 per hour
Full-time/Non-Exempt
40-hour work week
Affiliation UPSEU
Essential Functions: Performs all necessary work to maintain the town road system in good condition. Cut, clean up and dispose of windstorm debris and roadside trash and delivers to Transfer Station. Plow snow, sand and salt highways as required by storm conditions. Operate wood chipper. Replace traffic signs. May be required to paint interior walls and trim.
Qualification Requirements: High School graduate or GED equivalent. Four years of experience relating to construction, maintenance, or repair; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Must maintain a valid CDL State of Connecticut Motor Vehicle Operators license, Class B.
