BRANFORD, CT— We all know student athletes who also bring their A-game to other parts of their lives.

Why do you believe the star student athlete should be recognized?

Antonio is an amazing student athlete. He’s a high honors student at Branford High School, where he is currently a sophomore of the graduating class of 2025. He is committed to his academics and really enjoys science and chemistry. When the pandemic hit and everyone was homeschooling, he still thrived and received an award for excellence in Language Arts and was also given an award for excellence in engaged distance learning. He’s very into athletic training (baseball specific weight training)and nutrition. Antonio volunteered this summer at Branford Little League to help coach and share his passion for baseball with the younger kids at baseball camp in Branford. Antonio is very humble, outgoing, and always willing to help anyone with just about anything. Antonio played Varsity Baseball at Branford High School as a Freshman and was awarded Rookie of the Year. Antonio is well liked by his classmates and teachers and strives to be a great friend, teammate, and student. He’s a very good, kind-hearted kid who stays humble with all of his successes and is supportive to his fellow students and teammates. He’s an amazing student athlete who works hard at everything he does. He definitely deserves recognition as a standout student athlete.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star student athlete?

One thing everyone should know about Antonio is that he doesn’t cut corners, ever. He puts in the work, whether it’s in the classroom or on the field. He knows that excellence on and off of the field only comes with hard work, training, and dedication. His academics always come first. He says that you are a student first. Then an athlete. He’s very respectful and courteous to all, and he’s always willing to go the extra mile. He’s a great kid !
