Branford's Storm Recovery Update: What You Need To Know Now
Town workers are removing tress but not ones near live wires. That's Eversource's job, but those crews are moving "slowly," officials said.

BRANFORD, CT — With half of the town still without power, with Eversource crews "slowly responding" to outages, Branford's public works crews have been "continually working on tree removal that does not involve wires," officials said in an update Thursday.
"Unfortunately, any trees involving wires require specialized power crews from Eversource," a media release from First Selectman Jamie Cosgrove reads.
"We understand residents’ frustration with the continued delay in restoration," Cosgrove said, "Please be assured that we are continuing to put pressure on Eversource regarding restoration efforts."
