Decision on Costco in Branford is Closing In
Costco and the Town of Branford are nearing a decision on whether the retail giant will open a store in the area.

Costco’s efforts to open a 158,000-square-foot facility near Exit 56 off Interstate 95 are progressing well after a public hearing closed on Thursday, according to the New Haven Register.
Nothing is set in stone since further deliberation is necessary from the town’s Planning and Zoning Commission, the Register reported. Those deliberations will decide whether the company’s 44-acre Planned Development District will work for the area.
This all comes nearly three months after the company submitted its original application, and after four held public hearings.
