Detour Ahead: Starting Tuesday, Milling, Paving Begins On Many Roads

Branford Public Works' 2022 road improvement, resurfacing project set to begin May 31, includes Stannard Ave., Harbor Street to Town Dock.

BRANFORD, CT — The Branford Public Works Department announced its road improvement and resurfacing project for 2022 is set to begin next Tuesday.

Weather permitting, roadway preparation and milling will get underway on Stannard Avenue from Short Beach Road to Harbor Street Rock Pasture and Harbor Street from Maple Street to Parker Park, the location of the Town Dock.

Once milling is done, paving will begin.

Motorists and residents are cautioned that traffic may experience "minor" delays and detours during construction.

People who live on the listed streets and roads are asked to not park on those streets from sunrise to sunset.
