Dig had multiple surgeries on the way back to good health; now there is more good news.

BRANFORD, CT - The Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter has some great news to share about a dog that it spent weeks nursing back to health - Cali.
The shelter had originally reported she had cancer, but more testing showed she did not.

In the meantime, the search was on to find Cali a permanent home.
Well, there is news on that front and here is what the shelter had to say about Cali, and a friend.
“Who remembers our story of Cali....our hound mix who lost her wonderful family and then became extremely ill when she was at our shelter? Because of your support and your donations, we were able to help Cali heal.
“It took thousands of dollars, many , many vet visits, surgeries and lots of TLC at one of the staff’s houses, but now she is a happy go lucky dog ! In fact , that staff member has officially ADOPTED Cali !! YAY CONGRATULATIONS CALI!!
“And in helping Cali, they also adopted an elderly abandoned boxer named Trace, who was hit by a car and left for dead. We are so fortunate at the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter to have such dedicated Animal Control Officers who give selflessly of their time, love and dedication to help as many as they can.
“Cali and Trace are the best of friends and have the most amazing life together !‘’
