Limewood Avenue Paving Set To Begin Friday, Could Affect Motorists

Branford police gave folks the heads-up that paving Friday, and Monday, will mean some road closures.

BRANFORD, CT — Branford police said that beginning Friday, paving will start on Limewood Avenue. And, weather permitting, the project will continue on Monday. Police said that motorists should expect road closures impacting vehicles getting in and out of Waverly and Crouch roads.

A state Department of Transportation-project, it's noted by the town that in large part Monday's scheduled paving will impact vehicles traveling in and out of Waverly and Crouch "as the pavement needs to cool before vehicles will be allowed on it."

"Motorists and residents are cautioned that they may experience traffic delays or detours. Please avoid the area, if possible, to avoid delay or conflict," a message from the town reads.
