New London City Planner Selected as New Branford Town Planner

Branford has selected Harry Smith, who has been the New London City Planner since 2004, as the new town planner, according to the Branford Seven.

A factor that set Smith apart from the other 5 applicants, Jamie Cosgrove, Branford First Selectman, said was that he had prior experience in a Shoreline town, as well as working with coastal management issues, the Seven reported.

Smith is set to start sometime in mid-June, according to the Seven.
