Obituary: Morgan “Moe” J. Knudsen, 87, of Branford

Moe, a proud Army veteran, worked many years for Knudsen Brothers Dairy and was the founder and operator of the Globe-Knudsen Corporation.

BRANFORD, CT - (From Beecher & Bennett Funeral Home) Morgan “Moe” J. Knudsen, 87, passed away on March 14, 2022, at his home in Branford surrounded by his family. Born in New Haven on November 30, 1934, he was the son of the late Christian and Emmy (Tegeler) Knudsen.

Moe was predeceased by his wife Karen (Erickson) Knudsen. He grew up in North Haven, but had called Branford home for over 57 years.

Moe worked in the family business, Knudsen Brothers Dairy, for many years and was the founder and operator of Globe-Knudsen Corporation.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the Korean War.

Moe will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Stacey Knudsen Vulakh and husband Alex of Carlsbad, CA; his son Dr. Jay Knudsen and wife Erica of Kennebunkport, ME; his companion Barbara “Bobbie” Klivak of Branford; grandchildren Daisy, Zander, Logan Strauss & Tegler and his sister, Joan Perkins of Sydney, Australia.

Friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Branford, 1009 Main Street, Branford.

Burial will be private at a later date.
