Obituary: Salvatore (“Sal”) Grazio, 72, of Branford
A model railroad enthusiast, he loved the Yankees, and family time at the table where every meal was a celebration filled with laughter.
Salvatore (“Sal”) Grazio of Branford, CT passed away on Monday October 16, 2023 at Yale-New Haven Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Sal was born in New Haven, CT on December 15, 1950. He attended Eli Whitney High School where he learned his trade. He was a self-employed local carpenter with many loyal customers that over time became very good friends.

He was the son of the late Andrew Grazio and Elizabeth Panza Henry. He was the beloved husband of Paula Dreher Grazio for 37 years. He is survived by his children, Andrew (Alexandria) Grazio of Branford and Gina Grazio (Dave Lenches) of Denver, CO, and his sister Madeline (Louis) Amatruda of Guilford, CT. He was predeceased by his brother Michael Grazio and his wife Cynthia of West Haven, CT. He is also survived by his nieces and nephew, Michael Grazio, Erika Amatruda, and Christine Grazio.
Sal was a Model Railroad enthusiast, loved cheering for the Yankees, and spending time with his family around the dinner table. Every meal was a celebration filled with laughter. Sal will always be remembered for his charming personality and incredible sense of humor. He will be so very missed.

Relatives and friends may attend visiting hours Thursday evening from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, and are invited to a funeral service Friday morning at 11:00 in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter, 749 East Main Street, Branford, CT 06405.
