Occupation:
Retired

Family:
I have a 25 yo daughter who is a teacher.

Does anyone in your family work in politics or government?
No

Previous public office, appointive or elective:
Yes. I am seeking reelection to this position and was the first female democrat to be the moderator of the RTM 25 years ago.

Why are you seeking this office?
I am very civic-minded and have been an election worker since I was a teenager.

The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:
The cost of living.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
As a democrat I am very environmentally conscious. I don’t believe long-time residents should be out taxed from their homes.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
There should be a safe crosswalk leading from the condos across from Veterans Memorial Park on Brushy Plain Road. Many children live there and there is no safe access close enough to the driveways of the condos.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I maintain a relationship with all members of the administration. Working together makes us stronger. I’ve always been an advocate for the police and fire departments and for Branford Public Schools.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
This too shall pass. Don’t sweat the small stuff.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I retired from the judicial branch after 31 years, having worked with all different types of people. I am willing to listen to any constituent that has a problem or an opinion of any kind. I’ve made this town my home since the 70s and I want to see it thrive.
