Pedestrian Fatally Struck In Branford, Police Say

The road is closed near the accident scene, police said.

BRANFORD, CT — The Branford Police Department is investigating a fatal pedestrian accident.

Police said the fatal accident occurred Thursday evening in the area of 13 North Main Street.

Members of the Branford Police Department, along with the South Central CT Traffic Unit, are currently on scene conducting a full investigation. The operator of the involved vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators, police said.

For safety and investigative purposes, the roadway is closed between Main Street and Cherry Hill Road to all traffic. Please avoid the area and use alternate routes, police said.
