'Selfless' Branford Mom 'Is Always Putting Her Family First'

BRANFORD, CT— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

This submission comes from Joe Hurley who nominated Tracey Hurley of Branford.

What makes your Mom extra special?

Our mommy is the most selfless woman around! She is always putting her family first working tirelessly to ensure that we have everything we need each and every day. From packing school lunches, endless loads of laundry, and carting us all over for football, baseball, dance, basketball and countless other events, our mom NEVER tires or complains. She only requires her daily Dunkin iced coffee. She somehow also has time to work full-time and volunteer at our school on the PTA!

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?

Our mom deserves this spotlight because she gives her all to be our mom and puts herself at the end of the list each and every day. She never complains and is always smiling. She is a clear role model for being positive each and every day!
