'Selfless' Branford Mom 'Has The Biggest Heart'

BRANFORD, CT— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your Mom extra special?

My mom is the greatest person I know. I’ve always looked up to her as the strongest woman I know. She’s constantly putting others before her self and she’s been that way ever since I can remember. She’s truly a selfless person and that’s one of the many things I love most about her. She had both my brother and I fairly young, she was only 21 with a newborn and a toddler (my brother and I are only 11 and a half months apart) and she was doing it all on her own which I admire her for. Being a mom is the toughest job on the planet but my mom is really the greatest and I’m so incredibly lucky to be able to call her my mother. She did an amazing job raising my brothers and me. One is a police officer, the other working at Disney which was always his dream, and I have a great job at an aerospace company. I know my mom is incredibly happy with how she raised us because she raised us to always be kind and help others, and always think about how our actions are going to affect other people. She raised some amazing children and this is the perfect way for me to thank her! I love you so much, mom!

Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?

My mom is an incredibly strong, resilient, kind, caring, and loving person. She really is the best person I know. She has the biggest heart out of anyone I’ve met and she is truly selfless. She’s always done everything she could to give her children the best life possible and she definitely accomplished that. I couldn’t be more thankful to call her my mom. I love you more than anything mom, Happy Mother’s Day!!
