UPDATE: Truck That Struck Branford Bicyclist Found In Hamden

The truck that struck and badly injured a Branford woman on Featherbed Lane/East Main Street On November 4th was found over the weekend.

BRANFORD, CT - Police are confirming social media reports that a truck that struck a 52-year-old female bicyclist and fled from the scene has been found.

The truck was found by a Hamden woman hiking in a heavily forested area this past weekend in Hamden.

The woman, who knew police were looking for the truck, called police who immediately came to the scene.

The Branford Police Department in conjunction with the South Central Connecticut Traffic Unit (SCCTU) continues to investigate a hit-and-run accident that occurred on November 4, 2018 at approximately 8:20 a.m., at the intersection of East Main Street (Route 1) and Featherbed Lane.

A 52-year-old Branford women was riding her bicycle on East Main Street and was struck by a white Ford F-Series pick-up truck. The bicyclist is currently in serious but stable condition at a local hospital.
