UPDATE: Bicyclist Seriously Injured in Crash in Branford Sunday

A bicyclist is in serious condition after a Sunday morning Branford crash.

BRANFORD, CT - The Branford Police Department in conjunction with the South Central Connecticut Traffic Unit (SCCTU) is investigating a serious injury motor vehicle accident that occurred on November 4, 2018 at approximately 8:20AM.

A white Ford Super Duty pickup truck, operated by a white male, struck a bicyclist on Boston Post Road (Route 1) by the intersection of Featherbed Lane.

The pickup truck then fled from the scene eastbound on Route 1. We are asking the public for help in an attempt to locate the vehicle and white male operator.

The pickup truck has damage to the passenger side headlight assembly area.

The busy Featherbed Lane was still roped off by police tape in the early afternoon hours Sunday as cars were forced were to detour around the crash scene.
