Woman Killed In Wrong-Way Fiery Crash On I-95 In Branford: State PD
The identity of the deceased has been released by authorities. The highway was shut down for six hours.

BRANFORD, CT — An Arizona woman was killed in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 95 in Branford Sunday morning, state police said.
At 7:22 a.m. a New Jersey resident was driving a tractor-trailer on I-95 southbound in the center lane between exits 53 and 52, state police said.
A 2005 Jeep Cherokee driven by Satoya Tenise Mccullers-Mays, 48, of Tucson, Arizona, was traveling northbound in the left lane on the southbound side (the wrong way), state police said.

"For an unknown reason (the Jeep Cherokee) veered into the center lane and collided into (the tractor-trailer) head on," state police said in a news release. "The initial impact caused Operator #2 to be ejected, and Vehicle #2 to catch on fire."
Mccullers-Mays was pronounced dead, state police said. The tractor-trailer driver suffered minor injuries.

The collision resulted in I-95 being closed for about six hours.

Furthermore, if you were driving through the area of the collision at the time of the crash, and may have footage recorded on a vehicle equipped dashboard camera, you are also asked to contact Troop G in Bridgeport. This accident remains under investigation.
