2 Pounds Of Pot, Illegal Firearm Seized In Bridgeport Arrest: Police
The suspect is prohibited from possessing a firearm due to past felony convictions, according to authorities.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 41-year-old Bridgeport man was arrested on weapons and narcotics charges this week, after Bridgeport police found him in possession of two pounds of marijuana and an illegal firearm.
Ralph Cora was the subject of an investigation by the Bridgeport Regional Task Force, which had gained information that Cora, who has felony convictions in his past, was illegally in possession of a firearm. As a convicted felon, Cora is prohibited from possessing firearms.
On Tuesday, members of the task force spotted Cora and pulled him over.

Police then seized the following:
- Palmetto Armory 9mm handgun with an extended magazine
- U.S. Army Ballistic Vest
- 110 bags of marijuana (roughly two pounts)

- Criminal Possession of a Firearm
- Illegal Possession of a high-capacity magazine
- Illegal Transfer of a Pistol
- Weapons in a Motor Vehicle
- Criminal Possession of Body Armor
- Possession of Marijuana with intent to sell
He was released after posting bond on bail of $150,000, and is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on Feb. 25.
