Bridgeport Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Child Under 10: Police
The incident is alleged to have occurred in December, according to authorities.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 65-year-old Bridgeport man was arrested Friday on a warrant charging him with first-degree sexual assault on a child, who Bridgeport police said is under the age of 10.
Matthew Moales was taken into custody outside his West Side home by members of Bridgeport Police Department's Special Victims Unit and the U.S. Marshal Service's Violent Fugitive Task Force. He was charged with the following:
- Risk of Injury to a Child (4 counts)
- First-Degree Sexual Assault (4 counts)
- Illegal Sexual Contact with a Victim Under 13 (4 counts)
According to Bridgeport police, on Dec. 9, the department received reports of a child being sexually assaulted "by a known party."

Moales was quickly determined to be the suspect, and Special Victims Unit Det. Brian Coyne obtained an arrest warrant for him, which led to Moales' arrest on Friday.
Bail for Moales was set at $750,000, and he remains in custody.
