Child In Critical Condition After Being Struck By Vehicle In Bridgeport: Police

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A child is listed in critical but stable condition Monday morning, after being struck by a vehicle in Bridgeport on Sunday afternoon, according to police.

The crash occurred at about 4:30 p.m. near the intersection of Madison Avenue and Salem Street.

Immediately following the crash, the child was transported to St. Vincent's Medical Center, where the child is being treated.

Additional information was not immediately available, but Shawnna White, the city's Public Information Officer, said the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.

No arrests have been made, but Bridgeport police are continuing to investigate.
