Former Bridgeport Stop & Shop Building Facing Foreclosure Being Sold
The Madison Avenue property, which is slated to become a self-storage facility, is reportedly being sold by Simcove.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — The former Stop and Shop at 2600 Madison Ave. in Bridgeport, which is slated to become a self-storage facility, is being sold, the Connecticut Post reported.
Simcove is selling the property to Prime Space Capital and Blue Vista for an undisclosed price. The site was facing foreclosure over unpaid taxes.
The new owners, who hope to close on the sale in March, also plan to turn the building into a self-storage facility, even though that plan has been opposed by some residents and city officials.
