Man Arrested On Weapons Charges In Bridgeport: Police

The incident occurred Monday on Harral Avenue, according to authorities.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 20-year-old man was arrested on illegal weapons charges Monday, after Bridgeport police discovered he was carrying a loaded revolver without a permit.

Dantaye Francis was charged with illegal transfer/purchase of a revolver, and carrying a pistol without a permit.

The incident occurred on Harral Avenue, when officers "observed several suspicious parties walking" on the street.

Officers stopped Francis and soon discovered that he was carrying the handgun without a permit.

Francis was taken into custody and charged. He was released after posting a $5,000 bond, and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
