• 'Person Of Interest' Identified In Vandalism At Congregation B'nai Israel In Bridgeport: PD (patch.com) — Bridgeport police are investigating the vandalism of an outdoor menorah at Congregation B’nai Israel and say they have identified a person of interest, while increasing patrols around local houses of worship. Bridgeport’s mayor and regional leaders from Fairfield, Trumbull, and the state legislature condemned the act, voiced support for the synagogue’s congregants, and stressed that antisemitism and hate crimes will not be tolerated in the city.
   

• CT's biggest city reports record-low crime stats for 2025 (wshu.org) — Bridgeport leaders say 2025 brought major drops in crime, including a 37% decline in violent crime, two-thirds fewer fatal shootings, and sharp reductions in robberies, rapes, and property crimes. Mayor Joe Ganim and Police Chief Roderick Porter credit community policing and gun takeback efforts, and pledge to keep pushing these safety gains into 2026 for residents and visitors alike.
   

• Video shows masked gunman fire shot inside Trumbull Mall (ctpost.com) — Bridgeport police were among several departments called to help Trumbull officers after a teen fired a single shot during an argument at Trumbull Mall, sending crowds running but injuring no one. The Friday evening incident, captured on video near Macy’s amid worsening snow, involved teenagers who police say all knew each other.
